Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Healthcare Administrative Associate for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on maintaining front-office workflow, scheduling, and medical record management to optimize clinic efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems. Experience in healthcare and customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Must be customer driven with strong grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures; proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors; screen and route inquiries.
• Process mail, fax, and documents; maintain multi-line phone system.
• Schedule, register, and check in/out patients; maintain medical records.
• Handle data management, spreadsheet tasks, and run reports.
• Process billing documents and collect payments (co-pays, deductibles).
• Support department operations and communicate needs to leadership.
• Assist with staff scheduling and patient movement.
