RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Catheter Lab (Pre/Post) at the New Brunswick facility. The role focuses on comprehensive assessments, post-procedure care, medication administration, and patient education in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and 2 years of recent Critical Care or ICU experience, with strong EPIC EMR proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• ,
• ACLS certification required.
• 2 years of Critical Care RN experience within the last five years.
• Recent Procedural or ICU RN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedural experience strongly preferred.
• An Associate's degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early and advocating for patients.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers to support timely care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation within the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and effective communication.
• Thrive in a highly collaborative team where shared accountability impacts outcomes.
