Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardio Echo Vascular Lab at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick. The role supports patient assessments, care coordination, and post-procedure monitoring in an ambulatory setting.

You will work a full-time Day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotations. NJ RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS preferred; EPIC experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and BLS certification are required.
• ACLS Certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience is highly preferred, especially in Cardio Dynamics and Stress Testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening when needed.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately about next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
