Job summary

The Cardiovascular Radiographer I at St. Elizabeth Healthcare is a health care professional who, under the direction of a qualified cardiologist, performs procedures on adult patients resulting in accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of heart and peripheral vascular disease while maintaining maximum patient safety.

Qualifications

• RT license and ARRT registration in the state where work is performed.
• CPR certification.
• Greater than 1 year of RT and/or patient care experience; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains radiographic imaging equipment in the cath lab.
• Assists in diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures.
• Ensures image quality and patient safety; collaborates with cardiology team.
• Participates in education of new staff and continuous quality improvement.
