Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist I to assist in procedures on adult patients under a cardiologist’s direction, operating X-ray and related equipment with a focus on image quality and patient safety.

You will work in the cath lab environment supporting imaging, procedural assistance, and education of new staff, while applying radiation protection principles and maintaining high safety standards for patients and teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• Licenses/certifications: CPR, ACLS (must be obtained within orientation period and prior to independent work), ARRT(R) registered.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains radiographic, digital processing and viewing equipment for high-quality images and quantitative analysis of coronary/peripheral anatomy.
• Applies radiation safety and protection principles.
• Acts as first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures to ensure completeness of the case.
• Maintains knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for accuracy and safety.
• Reviews pre-procedural patient assessment and communicates pertinent data to MD for imaging and safety.
• Educates new employees and mentors students in the cath lab; supports performance improvement activities and implements changes for best practice.
