Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-time Nights Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Medicine 15E unit. The role supports the Registered Nurse with direct and indirect patient care, including vital signs, monitoring, and daily activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Required CNA certification or active enrollment in nursing coursework, CPR (BLS) certification, and a high school diploma with preferred college experience.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification or currently enrolled in nursing program.
• CPR (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
• High school diploma required; one year of college or nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs and IV/respiratory equipment as directed by RN.
• Assist with newborn care, feeding, and basic newborn screening as applicable.
• Support RN in procedures, safety, and patient comfort, while adhering to Patient First principles.
