Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Patient Care Technician for Cardiac Pulmonary Medicine 11W on a full-time night shift. You will assist the Registered Nurse in direct and indirect patient care, provide compassionate support, and help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient unit.

Responsibilities include measuring vitals, taking and recording temperatures, assisting with admissions/discharges, preparing equipment, responding to calls, and upholding our Patient First philosophy while following care

Qualifications

• CNA Certification or currently enrolled in Nursing school with basic clinical rotations.
• CPR recognition by the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• High school diploma required; one year of college or nursing education or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with direct patient care and monitoring.
• Take and record vitals and basic measurements.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-centered environment; respond to calls.
