Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports acutely ill patients and handles essential duties such as vital signs, daily living activities, documentation, and adherence to aseptic techniques.

You will participate in unit activities, assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and collaborate to promote safety and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic reading/writing and math skills required.
• Currently enrolled in ASN/BSN program preferred with clinical rotation. When enrolled, partial completion of nursing coursework is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Document vital signs, I&O, and treatments in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
