Allegheny Health Network seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with unit coordination for patients in stable condition. You will document care, monitor vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and support RN staff in caring for acutely ill patients.

The role operates on a 24-hour-per-week rotational schedule with 2x12-hour shifts, requiring flexibility for day, evening, overnight and weekend coverage; training and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic mathematics and Basic computer skills.
• Preferred ASN/BSN enrollment with clinical rotation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as: activities of daily living, vitals, ambulation, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height/weight, blood glucose testing, bladder scanning, transporting patients and medical records, documentation of O2, mobilization principles, and treatments.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to nursing staff and documents treatments.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
