Job summary

Texas Bay Credit Union in Houston seeks a Card Services Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the card services department and ensure efficient delivery of card products and services to members.

You will lead the card services team, manage relationships with processors and vendors, and ensure compliance with Reg E, Reg Z and PCI DSS while driving portfolio profitability and excellent member service.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• 3–5 years of similar or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of credit union operations, card processing systems and regulatory requirements governing card services (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z, PCI DSS).
• Completion of required training courses.
• Proficient in MS Office and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise card services team, provide guidance, support and coaching; plan and conduct meetings; develop staff.
• Manage employee time and attendance, including time off requests, schedules, and timecard approvals.
• Manage relationships with payment processing providers and other vendors to ensure service, compliance and issue resolution; integrate card services with credit union operations.
• Serve as primary point of contact for other departments regarding Card Services; foster cross-department collaboration.
• Supervise card inventory with the processor; communicate reorder needs and implement reorder process upon approval.
• Contribute to stability and growth of the credit card portfolio using back-office, system and marketing tools to ensure portfolio quality and profitability.
• Resolve member inquiries, complaints, and disputes related to card services promptly and professionally.
• Ensure staff have continuous access to essential systems.
• Stay updated on changes affecting the department and assist in maintaining compliance with best practices, policies, laws and regulations.
• Offer support and serve as a backup for all aspects of card issuance, fraud prevention, card tracking, and internal computer systems.
• Maintain and update tracking reports as directed by management.
• Develop, plan and recommend practices and procedures for efficient department operations.
