Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electro/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum seven years of professional experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Two years of managerial or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee review and approval of Carborne CBTC equipment designs and coordinate with multiple NYCT teams for safe, reliable implementation.
• Support maintenance facilities post-acceptance by ensuring upgrades, retrofits, and validations are properly documented.
• Manage a team of engineers responsible for integrating CBTC and modern signaling carborne equipment into the fleet, including testing, reviews, and safety interactions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional efforts to ensure safe life‑cycle maintenance of new carborne systems.
• Lead integration of updated 5G train radios, validate EMI/EMC compatibility, and ensure no interference with CBTC operations.
• Develop an engineering team with CBTC, signaling, data analysis, and cybersecurity awareness.
• Investigate CBTC‑related Train Trouble reports and contribute to reliability metrics.
• Perform duties including contractor oversight, invoice review, and policy compliance.
