Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Senior Director to oversee CBTC and related technology maintenance programs within the Subways DOS. You will coordinate with MTA C&D and DOS divisions to plan lifecycle maintenance, ensure warranty transitions, and lead system support initiatives across IT and operations.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate from an accredited college in Public Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Project Management, Engineering, or a satisfactory equivalent.
• Ten (10) years of professional experience.
• Seven (7) years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead DOS operating divisions in collaborating with MTA C&D to ensure that short- and long-term maintenance support is included as part of the acquisition contracts and ensure that life cycle costing is taken into consideration when selecting systems and suppliers.
• Act as the central point for coordinating with MTA C&D and DOS operating divisions on all matters relating to maintenance and ensure that CBTC contractual obligations and deliverables with respect to manuals, training, and tools are fulfilled in a timely manner that would allow DOS operating divisions to prepare for their maintenance responsibilities.
• Act as a systems Subject Matter Expert and lead DOS operating divisions in reviewing and assessing technical submittals for task orders for various systems enhancements and modifications.
• Oversee interdepartmental activities necessary for execution of CBTC system changes and enhancements, including coordinating with MTA C&D and the system safety working groups.
