Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join a growing team. Inspectors are the face of ACV, leveraging car knowledge to explain vehicle conditions clearly to clients and deliver meticulous reports.

Responsibilities include performing dealership inspections, documenting condition reports, and supporting the sales team. Travel to sites is required, with a focus on accuracy and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field (body, paint or mechanical) with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving and resourceful thinking.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports with repair/replacement cost estimates.
• Assist sales team with upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Interface with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and strong relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write reports.
• Capture photos and upload to the image server using company smartphone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for ACV Auctions platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
