Job summary

ACV Auctions seeks an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars to join our growing team. Inspectors are the face of ACV Auctions, delivering clear condition reports and building trust with dealers and buyers.

As part of a Territory Manager-led team, you will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations, document condition and repair estimates, and upload reports to our platform. You will also drive to sites, capture photos, and help onboard new dealers using the ACV platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automobile field or related customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication to understand customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition, repair estimates, and related documentation.
• Assist sales team with up-selling or cross-selling services and products.
• Interface with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
• List inspected vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform for bidding.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use the platform.
