Job summary

House of Delegates in Richmond, VA seeks a 2027 SESSION Support Services Assistant to assist in all areas of House Support Services, manage the Fax Server Inbox, and help set up meeting spaces as needed.

This on-site, short-term hourly position runs December 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027 (or January 7, 2027 to March 5, 2027), offering exposure to Capitol operations and event support with room layout coordination.

Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of House Support Services, as needed.
• Manage the Fax Server Inbox
• Assist Support Services staff with setting-up tables and chairs to accommodate room layout requests
• Assist with coordination and coverage of after-hours events in the Capitol
• Assist the Assistant Clerk and Purchasing Officer in responding to requests to prepare meeting space in the Capitol and the General Assembly Building
• Other duties, as assigned.
