Job summary

OPTI STAFFING GROUP is seeking a Leasing Agent in Seattle, WA to respond to inquiries, tour apartments, and guide applicants through the rental process. You’ll collect documentation, verify eligibility, and coordinate move-ins while maintaining accurate files and providing excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes compliance with Fair Housing and housing guidelines, with a full-time schedule in the Capitol Hill area. DOE applies; prior property management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous leasing, property management, housing, or related customer service experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with prospective residents by phone, email, and in person.
• Strong attention to detail when handling applications and documentation.
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple applicants and priorities.
• Comfortable learning and following housing eligibility and compliance requirements.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management systems.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to leasing inquiries from prospective residents.
• Provide information regarding available apartments, rental qualifications, and eligibility requirements.
• Schedule and conduct apartment tours.
• Guide applicants through the rental application and leasing process.
• Collect and review required application documentation.
• Assist with verifying applicant information and eligibility.
• Maintain accurate leasing files, records, and applicant information.
• Follow up with applicants regarding outstanding documentation or next steps.
• Coordinate approved move-ins and lease signings.
• Communicate professionally with applicants, residents, Property Managers, and internal teams.
• Help ensure leasing activities follow Fair Housing requirements and applicable housing guidelines.
