Job summary

The State of Arizona’s Legislative Council is seeking a Gift Shop Manager to lead daily onsite and online gift shop operations, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient processes. You will promote exhibits and events across social media and print platforms, collaborate with Museum management on initiatives, and manage merchandising and inventory control.

This is a full-time, on-site role with 40 hours/week, 8 a.m.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail sales and merchandising.
• Ability to manage financial transactions and inventory controls.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet Gift Shop guests, answer questions and resolve concerns; manage daily POS transactions.
• Prepare daily sales reports, deposits and monthly tax reports; oversee year-end inventory and PCI audit liaison.
• Collaborate with Museum management on retail initiatives and product development; maintain records of orders and procure merchandise and supplies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and an organized stockroom.
• Manage the Gift Shop’s online store and fulfill orders.
• Coordinate with state agencies for Fly a Flag at the Capitol events.
