Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Consulting Manager for the Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice to lead construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments for clients across the United States.

You will develop industry knowledge, guide client relationships, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions from acquisition through disposition, while traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, or capital projects consulting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting; CPA/CIA/CCA/CFE/PMP/PE preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases: planning, pre-construction, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, reporting.
• Experience with contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private clients preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce client-facing reports.
• Oversee and support project management activities: scheduling, budgeting, resources, stakeholder communications.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of construction and real estate management processes and controls to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess construction contracts, lease agreements, and capital project performance for compliance and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork including data collection, site visits, interviews, and reporting of findings.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, and contractors to support project oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support clients across the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
