Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Manager II to drive capital projects through all lifecycle phases in a hybrid role based near Marianna, FL or Fernandina Beach. You will own scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder engagement and reporting, serving as the primary project leader.

Responsibilities include developing PM plans for Storm Protection Plan projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring governance and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of project management experience.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M.
• PMP certification or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of project risk management methodologies.
• Experience in utility, pipeline, energy, engineering, or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project management plans for Storm Protection Plan projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate activities across multiple functional groups.
• Establish and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and performance objectives.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage project risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate project meetings and stakeholder communications.
• Lead change management and project governance processes.
• Prepare project forecasts and executive reporting packages.
• Coordinate contractor, consultant, and vendor activities.
• Monitor project compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support project audits, reviews, and stage-gate approvals
