Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Manager III - SAFE/GUARD to lead high‑value capital projects from planning to delivery in a hybrid role based near Marianna or Fernandina Beach, FL. You will drive execution strategies, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor staff while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.

This senior role requires 5–8 years of PM experience, a track record delivering $10M+ projects, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M.
• 5-8 years of project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex capital projects.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing project risk, cost, and schedule performance.
• Portfolio management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects, including Storm Protection Plan projects.
• Establish project execution strategies and delivery plans.
• Manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Direct change management and issue resolution activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor and consultant performance.
• Facilitate executive reviews and governance meetings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior project managers and coordinators.
• Support portfolio planning and prioritization.
