Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Manager III to lead the delivery of complex, high-value capital projects. The role provides leadership across all project phases and holds accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.

You will mentor junior staff and support portfolio planning. The position offers strategic direction, performance reporting, and opportunities to influence executive decisions, with a hybrid work arrangement in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M.
• 5-8 years of project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects in regulator stations, Horizontal directional drilling, and land rights.
• Establish project execution strategies and project delivery plans.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Lead project risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Direct change management and issue resolution activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor and consultant performance.
• Facilitate executive-level project reviews and governance meetings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Identify project improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior project managers and project coordinators.
• Support portfolio planning and project prioritization activities.
