Job summary

Texas Southern University seeks a PROJECT MANAGER to coordinate capital construction and renovation initiatives. You will plan budgets, update the master plan, and serve as the liaison between the university and the Texas Board of Regents, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, prepare solicitation documents, and oversee testing and inspections to confirm compliance with specifications and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s in construction management preferred.
• Experience coordinating capital projects with budgets up to $20M per project.
• Strong communication and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage capital construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare and analyze capital budgets; update master plan.
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs and review bids and proposals.
• Liaise between TSU, Texas Board of Regents and stakeholders.
• Oversee testing, inspections, and cost controls to meet specs.
