Job summary

Sterling Management is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital projects within the Multifamily Portfolio. Based in Minneapolis, MN, you will oversee scope, schedules, and contractor performance to deliver high-quality improvements that align with investor expectations.

You will coordinate with leadership and property teams to ensure value engineering, cost efficiency, and timely completion, while upholding Sterling’s values of respect, excellence, integrity, and transparency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of local building codes and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute capital improvement strategies for assigned markets.
• Prepare and manage detailed project budgets and forecasts.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure pricing and favorable terms.
• Review invoices, ensure contract compliance and change orders.
• Maintain project records and schedules for transparency.
• Oversee contractor qualification, selection and performance expectations.
• Lead lifecycle execution from groundbreaking to close-out with quality control.
