Job summary

City of South Burlington is seeking a CIP Manager to oversee the Capital Improvement Plan and lead projects in transportation, facilities, parks, and open space. You will coordinate with the Public Works Director, the City Manager, finance, and other departments to plan and implement short- and long-range infrastructure initiatives.

This role involves managing the project design and bid process, preparing reports, maintaining GIS data, and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with coursework in construction/transportation management or engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare succinct and accurate reports.
• Experience in CIP or municipal infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CIP projects in facilities, open space, recreation & parks, and transportation infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Finance Director and department heads for planning and implementation.
• Manage design and construction bid processes; review documents and award contracts.
• Maintain GIS data and department records; prepare reports and memos.
• Lead a team and serve as liaison to city boards and state/federal agencies.
