Job summary

City of Elk Grove is seeking a Management Analyst I/II to perform routine to complex financial and programmatic analyses within the capital improvement program. The role requires coordination across Finance, project managers, engineers and external funding agencies to ensure compliance with funding, grants, and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates will manage multiple priorities, develop reporting tools, and demonstrate strong analytical skills and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and contract management in a public administration setting.
• Experience with municipal capital improvement programs and grant administration is desirable.
• Ability to develop tracking and reporting tools and communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, budgeting, and financial analysis for assigned programs and projects.
• Coordinate contracts, RFPs, and procurement activities.
• Monitor expenditures and prepare financial forecasts and reports.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools for tracking funding and grant compliance.
• Provide analytical support to engineers, project managers, and city leadership.
