Job summary

SACOG is seeking a curious, analytical Analyst II to support funding programs, grants, and performance planning across the Sacramento region. You will review applications, analyze project data, and prepare materials for staff, committees, and the SACOG Board of Directors.

You will work with a team of planners and analysts to advance funding strategies, evaluate opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Education comparable to a bachelor’s degree in transportation, urban planning, public or related fields.
• Ability to organize, evaluate, and summarize quantitative and qualitative information.
• Experience with funding, program administration, or related planning disciplines is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering regional funding programs and guidance materials.
• Review grant applications and assess project information against program requirements.
• Coordinate with applicants and evaluators, and prepare staff and Board materials.
• Support performance-based planning with data analysis and reporting.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to staff and partners.
