Job summary

The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind (VSDB) in Staunton, VA is seeking a Capital Outlay Project Engineer to lead all phases of the school’s capital projects. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with VPPA and CPSM regulations, while coordinating with designers, contractors, and oversight agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience managing capital outlay or large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of VPPA, CPSM, and related regulations.
• Familiarity with building codes, ADA, historic preservation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the capital outlay program and selected projects.
• Ensure compliance with VPPA, CPSM, and state regulations.
• Coordinate between VSDB, design professionals, contractors, and oversight agencies.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
