Job summary

Messer Americas seeks a Senior Project Manager to execute multiple capital projects, ranging up to 10 million USD in CAPEX, safely and on schedule. You will lead multi-discipline teams, coordinate engineering and design, and manage costs and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves vendor qualification, PDES implementation, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with 30–40% travel. A bachelor's in a relevant field and 5 years' project experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or other relevant discipline.
• 5 years' experience in the implementation of capital projects, ideally in the Industrial Gas or Chemical Process industries, with demonstrated ability to develop a complicated technical scope, schedule and budget and consistently deliver to it.
• Ability to travel 30-40% (60-80 nights / year).

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development and project execution of major capital projects for Messer LLC.
• Manage all project activities throughout project cycle; responsible for managing individual projects generally up to $10,000,000 in CAPEX.
• Manage project activities, including coordination of basic and detailed engineering and design, development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets, prepare monthly status reports, provide oversight of construction and commissioning activities, coordinate Operator training and ensure technical and administrative closeout of all project issues.
• Manage the outsource of discipline engineering.
• Implement the Project Definition & Execution Strategy (PDES) that enables a high degree of confidence in the project scope, schedule, and budget.
