Job summary

G2 Capital Advisors in the United States seeks an accomplished Capital Markets leader to drive origination strategy for middle‑market debt and equity transactions. As Executive Sponsor on CM engagements, you will ensure successful closes while identifying risks and guiding teams across diverse industries.

You will cultivate industry relationships, lead business development efforts, mentor colleagues, and promote G2’s capabilities through market outreach, conferences and sponsored boards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in credit, leveraged finance, direct lending, debt advisory, debt capital markets, or syndication in lower to middle market (transaction sizes $15-300MM)
• Strong underwriting experience and ability to lead teams through capital raises across multiple transaction types (LBOs, recapitalizations, refinancing, add-on acquisitions, special situations)
• Strong investment banking, business development, and engagement process execution experience
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to facilitate critical conversations at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong leadership with a proven track record building high-performing teams in local and remote environments

Responsibilities

• Drive sourcing and origination strategy development for the CM practice.
• As Executive Sponsor on CM transactions, ensure successful execution and mitigate risks.
• Develop origination and structuring processes for debt and/or equity transactions.
• Be the firm’s go-to with broad CM knowledge to support industry bankers.
• Cultivate industry relationships and source new clients with other G2 resources.
• Leverage track record and network to maximize referrals and relevance.
• Manage client and stakeholder communications to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to promote G2 and product expertise through events and publications.
• Develop relationships with debt and equity providers and new capital sources.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve services and programs.
• Coordinate with Marketing on industry segment communications.
