Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Project Engineer for Engineering Capital & Infrastructure. The role is 100% onsite, leading capital and expense infrastructure projects, with cross‑functional coordination and budget management.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 8+ years of project management experience, and an active U.S. Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to travel domestically 25–50%.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum 8years of relevant experience.
• Project management experience and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Experience with owner’s project requirements / current facility requirements (OPR/CFR).
• Experience reviewing architectural, MEP design drawings.
• Experience with field reviews, infrastructure verification, and change management.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD).
• Active, transferable U.S. Secret clearance required before start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and expense infrastructure projects, managing budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure compliance with RTX policies.
• Interface with labs, business units, and external stakeholders.
• Assess existing labs and infrastructure and develop integrated solutions.
• Execute change management, risk mitigation, and problem solving.
• Perform field reviews and verifications of infrastructure and facility design.
• Travel to domestic sites 25–50% and maintain onsite presence.
