Job summary
RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – Responsible Systems Engineer to lead the definition and maintenance of system requirements for the Effectors System Engineering Department. This onsite role requires coordinating with Systems and Hardware teams and directing verification activities.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in systems engineering, a STEM degree, and an active Top Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, firmware, hardware, requirements, integration, and/or test.
- Experience in test planning, verification of system requirements and/or system qualification.
- Active and transferable Top Secret clearance prior to start date.
Responsibilities
- Lead updating and maintaining all system and subsystem level requirements specifications.
- SE technical lead for verification and validation efforts, ensuring assessment during Verification & Qualification Testing.
- SE technical lead, working with Systems and Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer on program tasks.
- Lead Systems Verification Reviews with the Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, and IPTL Leadership.
- Become the knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the program.
- Mentor new team members and share core Systems Engineering skills.
