Job summary

Toho Water Authority in Kissimmee, Florida is seeking an Accounting Supervisor/Manager to manage the accounting activities for capital projects, CWIP, and fixed assets in accordance with GAAP and Toho policy. The role reports to the Comptroller and oversees the full lifecycle of capital asset accounting.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Accounts Payable and external consultants, ensure timely capitalization and accurate reconciliations, support financial reporting and audits,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience with capital projects or fixed assets.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Class E Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff responsible for capital and fixed asset processes.
• Oversee capitalization of assets and CWIP in compliance with GAAP and policy.
• Maintain detailed and auditable records of capital projects.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and external consultants and vendors.
• Prepare financial reporting and support audits.
• Lead process improvements and strengthen internal controls in capital accounting.
• Provide analytical insight into capital spending and asset management.
