Job summary

WM in Houston seeks a Supervisory role overseeing the Fixed Asset Liaison team responsible for operational accounting support, capital governance, project coordination, and interface with field operations, engineering, project management, and corporate accounting.

The role ensures capital requests, projects, and asset-related accounting are processed accurately and in compliance with WM policies, while leading governance activities and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree.
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
• 5 years of previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Fixed Asset Liaison team across operating areas.
• Oversee capital requests involving Fixed Assets, PPM, Coupa, ServiceNow, and related systems.
• Ensure capitalization policy governance and project administration.
• Lead year-end capital governance activities and readiness reporting.
• Train and coach employees to promote service excellence and policy compliance.
