Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an Asset Accounting Manager to oversee capital asset accounting, tagging, inventory, and related processes. This role ensures compliance with policies and accurate financial reporting for campus assets.

You will train and supervise the Property Accounting Specialist and students as needed, coordinate with campus departments, and drive improvements to asset lifecycle processes in PSAM and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance, or asset-related field.
• Five years of accounting experience, including asset management accounting or budgeting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage capital asset processes including purchasing, tagging, and inventory.
• Review and enter a large volume of capital assets into PSAM monthly.
• Manage asset tagging and fabrication tracking with departments; ensure proper accounting.
• Review and approve journal entries for capital equipment per policies.
• Collaborate with Financial Services and campus partners to resolve asset-related questions.
