Job summary

YES Communities in Denver, CO is seeking an Accounting Manager, Capital to lead the accounting for capital projects and home inventories, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting and strong internal controls while partnering with Development, Operations, Tax, Finance and Sales.

This role focuses on asset lifecycle management, month‑end close for asset and home accounting, process improvements, data integrity, and mentoring staff. Competitive compensation includes health benefits and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and depreciation methods.
• Experience with fixed asset and capital project accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Yardi or MRI.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital assets lifecycle including depreciation and disposals.
• Manage Capital Asset Request processes.
• Lead month-end close for asset- and home-related accounting.
• Prepare home roll-forwards and capital spend reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Development, Sales, Tax, and Finance.
• Mentor accountants and drive process improvements.
