Job summary

CyrusOne, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the capital accounting function, including CIP, fixed assets, and project accounting in Dallas, TX. You will oversee month-end close, reporting, and external audits while driving process improvements across capital operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in capital accounting or related area.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fixed asset accounting, CIP, and capital expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities related to capital expenditures, CIP, fixed assets, equipment inventory, and project accounting.
• Review and oversee journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accurate reporting.
• Manage capital accounting analysis and reporting including flux explanations and capital expenditure trends for senior management.
• Oversee PO and contract reviews, open PO accruals, and related processes to ensure costs are recorded in the proper period.
• Oversee accounting for equipment inventory transfers, capital cost allocations, prepayments, deposits, and budget transfers between inventory locations and projects.
• Ensure project setup activities, budget revisions, and documentation follow policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with PM, Procurement, Logistics, FP&A, AP, and others to resolve issues and improve workflows.
• Lead initiatives to standardize procedures, automate reporting, and improve close and reconciliation efficiency.
• Maintain integrity of capital accounting data and systems, coordinating with IT on issues.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audit support for capital accounting activities.
• Provide guidance and development support to accounting team members.
