Job summary

ChampionX in Odessa, TX seeks a Combo Capillary/ESP Spooling Technician to support artificial lift deployments at customer sites. You will drive a capillary truck, spool capillary and ESP cable onto reels, perform inspections and repairs, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

This role requires three years in oil and gas, experience splicing cables, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot customer issues.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant oil and gas experience.
• One year of splicing electrical, capillary, TEC cables.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Strong mechanical, math and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transport capillary trailer to client sites and spool capillary onto reels.
• Inspect and repair capillary at customer locations.
• Install downhole gauge and wireless communications.
• Band or clamp capillary and TEC cable with a Forum tool.
• Maintain equipment and complete DOT paperwork.
• Support other ChampionX product lines when needed.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
