Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Mankato, MN, to plan and support Capex projects on campus. You will coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet internal and external requirements, ensuring projects are executed on time and on budget.

The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to work in an international environment and leverage CAD and SAP tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering and 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or capital project management; or 7 years of manufacturing engineering or capital project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to develop work-scope specifications for capital projects, infrastructure changes, and equipment purchases.
• Research and identify potential suppliers and service providers, and develop required documentation for requisitions.
• Manage projects ensuring safety, cost, and on-time completion of the projects.
• Improve procedures and controls through planning and implementation, incorporating team input.
• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment.
• Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations, facilities and maintenance staff.
• Design, source, test and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for manufacturing methods.
• Evaluate data and write reports to validate deviations from standards.
• Review processes to improve employee safety and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
• Promote a compliance culture and participate in special projects.
