Job summary

Amrize seeks a CAPEX Category Manager to define and align the overarching strategy for sub-commodities, acting as subject matter expert for suppliers and capital projects. You will maximize benefits from strategic sourcing, lead cross-functional teams, and negotiate complex contracts across North American cement plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, 5+ years experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• Field of study includes Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Economics or Engineering
• Strong work experience in consultant, project management or sourcing in large capital expenditure activities
• Proficient MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Google Mail & Drive; basic SAP knowledge

Responsibilities

• Define and align the strategy for sub-commodities within scope.
• Serve as subject matter expert for related sub-commodities or suppliers.
• Maximize benefits from strategic sourcing across capital projects.
• Lead and execute sourcing processes for capital projects across cement plants.
• Develop frame agreements with key suppliers; drive negotiation strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and Legal on vendor contracts.
