Job summary

GFiber in Austin, TX is hiring for a Controllership leader who owns capital accounting for the company’s multi‑billion-dollar fiber network. You’ll govern ASC 360 PP&E and ASC 842 leases, ensuring proper capitalization, close, disclosures, and audit readiness while partnering with FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

You will also manage the SAP footprint (FI-AA, PS, MM) and the PO‑coding architecture to drive accurate capitalization and reporting at the point of purchase, and you’ll mentor the accounting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Current or inactive CPA or CA certification.
8 years of progressive accounting experience in a capital-intensive industry including PP&E and lease accounting (ASC 360 and ASC 842).
2 years of experience operating SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA), PS, MM or equivalent.
5 years of experience owning a month-end close and supporting external audits under US GAAP.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end ASC 360 PP&E and lease accounting, including capitalization, close, disclosures, and audit readiness.
Own the SAP footprint behind the accounting (FI-AA, PS, MM) and the PO-coding architecture for correct capitalization and reporting.
Grow, mentor and develop the accounting team.
