Job summary

Hill Bros Logistics in Omaha, NE is seeking a Capacity Manager to lead our Capacity Coordinators and Carrier Sales Representatives. This role blends sales, account management, and operations leadership to coach a team, shape pricing, and grow the carrier network that keeps our customers moving.

You will partner with Account Managers, use data to guide negotiations, and drive on-time performance. The position is full-time, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of proven team management experience leading two or more people.
• Logistics sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency with carrier analytics, market data, and pricing decisions.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; TMW Suite a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• Strong communicator capable of coaching, negotiating, and presenting.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and persistent with ideas to bring to the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team to build carrier relationships and deliver service.
• Buy smart using carrier analytics and market data to guide negotiations.
• Set the market by tracking trends to price by market daily/weekly/monthly.
• Grow the network by researching new carriers and turning leads into partnerships.
• Drive performance to hit 100% on-time pickup and delivery.
• Connect the dots between Account Managers and Capacity team to match capacity with needs.
• Innovate by identifying opportunities to automate and improve the carrier experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and Coach: Develop your team to build strong carrier relationships, run account reviews, and deliver exceptional service every day
• Buy Smart: Use carrier analytics and market data to guide negotiations and buying decisions
• Set the Market: Track trends and seasonality to set pricing by market, daily, weekly, and monthly
• Grow the Network: Research new carriers, generate leads, and turn them into lasting partnerships
• Drive Performance: Track and trace carriers to hit our 100% on-time pickup and delivery target
• Connect the Dots: Serve as the liaison between Account Managers and the Capacity team to match capacity with customer needs
• Innovate: Spot opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve the carrier experience

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
