Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking an Instructional Technology Assistant in the Office of Teaching & Learning. You will be the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students seeking help with instructional technologies and Canvas, troubleshooting issues and supporting course maintenance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of technical support experience.
Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
Experience with learning management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
Respond to support requests through phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person interactions.
Troubleshoot issues related to Canvas and other instructional technologies.
Assist faculty with course updates and instructional technology tools.
Monitor escalated support requests and ensure timely resolution.
Help develop and improve support documentation and knowledge resources.
Track support trends and contribute to service improvement efforts.
Provide general support to administrative units on LMS-related issues.
