Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor in Naugatuck, CT to help customers and patients navigate cannabis products as a wellness option. You will greet customers, provide education on product types, and support a compliant, fast-paced retail environment.

This role requires 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience, a 21+ age minimum, and willingness to learn about cannabinoids and regulatory requirements. Training and ongoing education are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Possess a positive attitude while greeting customers and patients.
• Be an advocate of cannabis customer care.
• Help customers and patients navigate through cannabis education and wellness product usage.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well with others in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Provide information on product types, methods and efficacy (not medical advice).
• Remain open to ongoing cannabis education and training to stay compliant.
