Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to deliver outstanding customer service, educate customers about cannabis products, and assist with patient record management where required.

The role emphasizes compliance with local and state laws, accurate processing of transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized storefront in a dynamic retail setting. Training will cover product types, methods, and efficacy without providing medical advice.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and compliant with all local, state regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Familiarity with Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and educate on wellness uses.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Assist with inventory stocking and merchandising.
• Process transactions at the POS and verify online orders.
• Maintain compliance with local/state regulations and METRC/BioTrack systems.
