Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service and educational consulting in a retail setting. You will greet customers, promote cannabis wellness products, and build rapport with regular clients to drive repeat business.

The role requires staying updated on product types, methods, and regulatory compliance, while supporting store operations and ensuring accurate online orders. A background check and state badge are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional individualized customer service and educational consulting.
• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Help customers navigate and educate them on cannabis as a wellness product.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with others.
• Provide information on cannabis products (not medical advice).
• Be open to ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitized workstation/storefront.
• Ensure online order accuracy before pick-up.
• Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations by local and state laws.
• Stock and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and update inventory systems (METRC, BioTrack).
• Handle additional duties as assigned
