Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to provide exceptional customer service, educational consulting, and accurate transactions in a retail cannabis setting. You will greet customers, explain product types and usage, ensure compliance with state regulations, and help manage inventory and METRC/BioTrack data.

The role emphasizes ongoing cannabis education, teamwork in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean storefront, and supporting managers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and state badging as required.
• Desire to learn cannabinoids, terpenes, and product usage methods.
• Basic computer/office software skills (Word, Excel, email).
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and education.
• Educate customers on cannabis products, usage, and methods (not medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Maintain a clean, organized store front and compliant stock displays.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure inventory accuracy in METRC/BioTrack.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and store policies.
• Provide support to managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
