Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. in Gainesville, FL seeks a Cannabis Advisor to greet customers, educate on cannabis products, and promote compliant, safe use in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will work with a team to guide patients and customers through product types, methods, and availability while maintaining accuracy in POS and METRC/BioTrack. A strong focus on customer care and regulatory knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and pass background checks and state badging where required.
• Willing to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product applications.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude and educate on cannabis products.
• Help customers navigate product options and usage methods.
• Maintain compliance with local/state rules and accurate METRC/BioTrack updates.
• Stock, merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Keep workstation and storefront clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pickup.
• Understand and apply local/state compliance regulations.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and update inventory systems accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
