The Cannabist Company is seeking a Shift Lead to support store leadership and coach the retail team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As a Lead Retail Associate, you will oversee day-to-day operations, maintain product knowledge, handle cash and POS transactions, and ensure compliance with SOPs while driving sales and a service-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 3+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• Experience with cash handling and Point-of-Sales systems required.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to coach and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Support store leadership in achieving sales goals and growth.
• Lead by example to promote a service-minded retail environment.
• Demonstrate cannabis product knowledge and guide customers for a positive experience.
• Open/close the store and assign daily tasks to meet business demands.
• Train the retail team on tasks including intake, sales, inventory, and POS transactions.
• Provide coaching and escalate employee concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations; report issues promptly.
• Collaborate on inventory management and regular audits.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and share findings with leadership.
