Job summary

Insa Cannabis is seeking a Retail Lead to supervise customer interactions and drive sales across our Connecticut locations. You will lead a team, know cannabis products, and ensure smooth transactions while upholding regulatory standards.

The role requires a focus on customer service, product education, and compliance, with opportunities to train staff and optimize store performance. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; POS software and cash management experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service; lead team in same.
• Educate customers on the brand, product options, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently using a computerized system; provide training to staff as needed.
• Act as sales leader to meet or exceed the company’s sales goals by using Insa sales standards and modeling behaviors.
• Protect the store’s stability and reputation by complying with state regulations and SOPs; lead the team accordingly.
• Communicate daily with store team to review sales performance, goals, promotions, and directives.
• Authorize facility access by checking IDs, providing escorts, and completing records while maintaining customer experience.
• Ensure order fulfillment and restocking happens when needed.
• Assist with training and development for team members.
• Accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with Company SOPs and state regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Promote a safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting incidents.
• Display positive, productive teamwork and cooperation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
