The Cannabist Company in Rockville, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the location. You will drive sales, oversee staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

You will supervise daily operations, mentor team members, and help manage inventory, payroll, and scheduling while delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining knowledge of systems and software.

Formación

• At least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cash handling and POS operations.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current MED badge or ability to obtain one prior to starting.
• Cannabis industry experience a strong plus.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to drive revenue.
• Supervise store operation, task delegation and scheduling of team members.
• Ensure all transactions and operations comply with local, state, and company regulations.
• Support inventory management and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with deliveries and counts.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with the Store Manager.
• Lead people leadership activities including payroll, scheduling, recruiting and onboarding.
• Educate customers and employees on cannabis products, usage methods and safety.
• Manage escalated customer issues as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of computer systems and software.
